If you want to use the same esp and you are just using relays to turn the sprinkler zones on and off you may want to consider instead using the konnected io code installed on the esp8266 to run those relays plus the momentary relay for the garage door.
Use relay to control garage door.
Connecting it to vin or 3v will not work.
My garage door opener comes with 4 terminals.
Many garage doors have a beam that when tripped will stop the door.
Just follow the below simple rule.
This can work alongside the existing buttons and remotes.
Relay 1 is wired in the standard way and is tied to my visor control.
The board is all ready to go.
In this case it will emulate the switch in the wall mounted or portable remote that you currently use to open the garage door.
If the door is closed the relay is open interrupting the pulse signal getting to the garage motor controller.
In addition to using a raspberry pi the project uses two sensors to determine whether or not the garage door is open.
Garage shutter door and light are activated by user.
At the output of relay you can connect your light and door motor main power line.
Control monitor your garage door with esp8266 openhab a 5v relay the project consists of an esp8266 5v relay power supply resistors and leds.
The only thing left is to wire it to your garage door.
The fibaro relay switch dry contact could be used in parallel with the existing push button contacts as shown in the blow picture.
But i believe there is just one vu pin for the red relay cable on the nodemcu.
A relay board to activate the opener this acts like a wall switch or button but the etherten pushes it instead of you.
A fibaro relay switch could be used to control the garage doors as described below.
Relay 2 however is used only for the goodnight scene.
Connections are not difficult.
You can switch the d1 d2 power and ground pins as you see fit.
The input which is used for the garage door push button could also be used by fibaro relay switch to trigger the open close operation.
I noticed you are already using an esp8266 for sprinkler control.
The elk relay wires between the relay 2 output and the garage motor controller.
Output pins are connected to relays.
The esp8266 connects to your local wifi and runs a small web server that responds to simple http get post requests that will be sent to it via openhab.
Two digital pins of arduino are initialized as output to control the garage door and light.
The vu offers usb power 5v which is required to power the relay.
